  • Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment has suspended the Central Management System (CMS)
  • The move follows a presidential directive to allow a forensic review of the platform
  • Alternative systems will be deployed to ensure uninterrupted service delivery

The Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment has suspended the use of the Central Management System (CMS) of the National Service Authority (NSA) with immediate effect, citing growing concerns over the platform’s digital infrastructure.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Ministry confirmed the decision was based on a directive from the Office of the President, aimed at protecting the national interest.

“This decisive action is to enable a full technical and forensic audit of the CMS platform,” the statement said.

The Ministry reassured National Service personnel and stakeholders that alternative systems and verification processes were being explored to ensure uninterrupted and transparent service operations.

“We are taking steps to maintain smooth service delivery during this period,” the Ministry noted.

It further urged personnel and the public to remain calm and cooperative as relevant agencies work to uphold the integrity of the NSA’s operations.

“Additional updates will be provided in due course,” the statement concluded.
