University of Ghana suspends students for misconduct

The University of Ghana has suspended 14 students for two academic years following confirmed incidents of misconduct and breaches of institutional regulations.

In addition, 97 students have been penalised for engaging in examination malpractices, with disciplinary action taken after formal hearings upheld violations of exam rules. Those sanctioned are prohibited from all academic and extracurricular activities during the suspension period.

Separately, two students received official reprimands for inappropriate behaviour, though they were not suspended.

The university reiterated its firm stance on maintaining discipline and academic integrity, underscoring its commitment to creating a safe and respectful environment for learning and personal development.
