Accra Brewery PLC Reaffirms Support for Local Farmers

Accra Brewery PLC has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering local farmers across Ghana, acknowledging their vital contribution to the company’s production process.

At the “Cheers to Farmers: Farm to Brew” dinner held in Accra, Solomon Ehiah, Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs at Accra Brewery, highlighted the central role farmers play in the brewery’s operations and long-term sustainability.

“As a company that depends significantly on agricultural inputs, it’s only right that we continue to invest in and support the farmers who make our work possible,” Mr. Ehiah told Adom News.

He also encouraged young people to consider careers in agriculture, calling farming both essential and rewarding.

The event celebrated the essential role farmers play in the brewery’s success and aimed to strengthen ties between the company and its agricultural partners.

Speaking on behalf of the farmers, Ian Frederick Oshodi of Vankharis Ghana Ltd expressed gratitude for the brewery’s ongoing support.

He urged more farmers to collaborate with Accra Brewery, emphasizing that such partnerships drive agricultural productivity and contribute to rural development.

“This kind of backing from a major brand like Accra Brewery shows that when farmers are supported, everyone benefits,” Oshodi remarked.

The “Cheers to Farmers” initiative is part of Accra Brewery’s larger strategy focused on sustainable sourcing and community development, aiming to create value throughout its supply chain—for both the business and the communities behind it.
