Fire at Flour Mills Ghana Ltd Contained, Worker in Stable Condition

A fire that broke out on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors of the production unit at Flour Mills Ghana Ltd has been successfully contained, thanks to the prompt response of firefighters from the Tema Regional Command. The blaze, which started on Wednesday, May 21, was completely extinguished by 12:30 PM. One worker, who suffered from smoke inhalation, was quickly taken to the GPHA Clinic for treatment. Medical staff have confirmed that the individual is now stable and out of danger.

The fire caused significant damage to essential infrastructure, including armored cables, an electric panel, and parts of the production machinery. However, the rapid and coordinated efforts of the firefighting team prevented further damage. Other production equipment, wiring, and the upper floors of the facility were spared. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
