The Cocoa Marketing Company (CMC) Limited has officially inaugurated its newly constituted nine-member Governing Board, marking a renewed commitment to operational excellence, stakeholder engagement, and reinforcing Ghana’s global leadership in the cocoa industry.

The inauguration ceremony was led by Deputy Minister for Finance, Thomas Ampem Nyarko.

The board is chaired by Hon. Mahama Ayariga, Majority Leader in Parliament, with Dr. Wisdom Kofi Dogbey continuing in his role as Managing Director. The leadership team is set to roll out key strategies aimed at ensuring sustainability, improving cocoa yields, and tackling the ongoing issue of cocoa smuggling.

The board’s core mandate includes delivering increased value to cocoa farmers, enhancing operational performance, and fostering stronger collaboration across the cocoa value chain to benefit both the industry and the national economy.

  • Mr. Johnson Nana Kyei – Member

As a crucial subsidiary of COCOBOD, the CMC is responsible for the marketing and export of Ghana’s cocoa. The new board is expected to play a vital role in strengthening the company’s position as a cornerstone of Ghana’s agricultural export economy.
