Ghanaian music star King Promise has pledged to sponsor a master’s degree programme for his Public Relations Officer, Tilly Akua Nipaa, in recognition of her exceptional contribution to his promotional campaign during the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) season.
Speaking during an interview on Accra FM on Tuesday, May 13, King Promise expressed his gratitude for Tilly’s dedication and performance.
“I really like Tilly. She did a fantastic job,” he said. “I was discussing with my team recently, and I think she’s planning to pursue a master’s degree. I want to take care of the cost because she’s done amazingly well and played a huge role in our success.”
In the lead-up to the TGMA, King Promise enlisted Tilly to lead his publicity efforts, ensuring strong visibility before the TGMA Board, Academy, and the public. Her strategic campaign work significantly boosted his presence and engagement throughout the season.
King Promise ultimately emerged Artiste of the Year, beating strong contenders like Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, King Paluta, Team Eternity, Joe Mettle, and Kwaku Smoke. He also swept multiple awards including:
- Afropop Song of the Year with Paris
- Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste of the Year
- Album of the Year for True to Self
Tilly Akua Nipaa, born Matilda Mensah Marfo, is a respected Ghanaian media personality known for her work as an entertainment broadcaster and panelist across major platforms including Peace FM (Entertainment Review), TV3 (The Trendz), and Hitz FM (Showbiz Review Xtra).
She holds a degree in Psychology, English, and Theatre Arts from the University of Ghana, and is recognized for her eloquence, insight, and influence in Ghana’s creative media landscape. Tilly is also active in digital media, hosting the T Means Talkative Podcast, where she shares industry insights and cultural commentary
