Stonebwoy Congratulates King Promise on TGMA Win

Ghanaian music star Stonebwoy has extended warm congratulations to King Promise for winning the Artiste of the Year at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Stonebwoy wrote:
“Congratulations @IamKingPromise on your win and on your debut entry into the league of AOTY winners. You’re welcome.”
The two artists were both contenders for the top prize in 2024, with Stonebwoy emerging victorious that year. However, the 2025 edition saw even tougher competition, with King Paluta also joining the race.
King Promise beat out a strong lineup, including Stonebwoy, Joe Mettle, Black Sherif, King Paluta, Team Eternity, and Kwaku Smoke, to take home the night’s most prestigious award.
In addition to Artiste of the Year, King Promise also won:
- Afropop Song of the Year – “Paris”
- Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste of the Year
- Album of the Year – True to Self
Stonebwoy didn’t leave empty-handed, securing:
- Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year
- Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year – “Psalm 23”
- Best Music Video of the Year
Other notable winners included Ayisi, Empress Gifty, Kofi Kinaata, Esther Godwyll, Kweku Smoke, KiDi, Team Eternity Ghana, and Tulenkey.
