Ursula Foundation Aids Labone SHS After Dormitory Fire

The Ursula Foundation has come to the aid of Labone Senior High School after a fire destroyed the girls’ dormitory, displacing students and destroying essential supplies.

Founded by former MP and Minister Ursula Owusu, the foundation donated key relief items including 100 bags of rice, 100 plastic chairs, 20 mattresses, maize, gari, and beans to support the school’s recovery. The donation was presented by foundation representatives William Adu, Faustina Kisse, and Rita Appiah, joined by members of the 1982 alumni group, of which Ursula is a member.

Mr. Adu expressed the foundation’s sympathy and commitment, stating the school had played a key role in shaping Mrs. Owusu’s life. Headmistress Madam Rejoice Acolor expressed deep appreciation, calling the support timely and uplifting.

The president of the 1982 year group, Mr. Gabriel Annor, praised the initiative and encouraged others to contribute. The donation was warmly received by the school community, offering much-needed hope and support in the wake of the tragedy.
