Man Killed and Burnt in Binduri Amid Chieftaincy Clashes

- Man reportedly killed and burned in Binduri, Upper East Region
- Motorcycle also set ablaze at the scene
- Attack suspected to be linked to Bawku chieftaincy conflict
A man has reportedly been killed and his body burned along with a motorcycle in Binduri, a district in the Upper East Region. He is believed to have been riding the motorbike at the time of the attack.
The identity of the perpetrator(s) remains unknown, but the incident is suspected to be connected to the ongoing chieftaincy conflict in Bawku, which has recently extended into neighboring areas such as Pusiga and Binduri.
While details are still emerging, eyewitness accounts suggest the victim may have been ambushed. A photo of the scene appears to show a shadowed figure, believed to be one of the attackers, possibly armed with a rifle, standing near the body.
It is believed the victim was shot, after which his body was dragged into nearby dry grass and set ablaze along with the motorcycle.
Police are yet to release an official statement on the matter. The incident comes shortly after violent clashes in Bawku last Wednesday, which resulted in the death of one individual during a confrontation between police and Kusasi youth.
