Woman Charged Over Vandalism at Trump’s Turnberry Golf Course

A 21-year-old woman has been charged in connection with damage caused to Donald Trump’s Turnberry golf course in Ayrshire, Scotland.

The incident, which occurred on 8 March, involved a green being dug up and another defaced with the words “Gaza is not for sale” painted on it. Red paint was also splattered across buildings and walls at the luxury resort.

The woman was arrested in Liverpool on Thursday and is scheduled to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court later.

This follows the earlier court appearances of three individuals charged with malicious mischief related to the vandalism.

Ricky Southall, 33, from Wakefield, and Umza Bashir, 55, from Leeds, appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday. Both made no plea and were released on bail. On 31 March, Kieran Robson, 33, from Galashiels, also appeared in court, made no plea, and was granted bail.

The vandalism comes amid controversy surrounding former President Donald Trump’s comments about Gaza. Trump had proposed transforming Gaza into a resort akin to the French Riviera, a plan that would involve relocating Palestinians to other countries.

Last month, Trump condemned those responsible for the damage at Turnberry, labeling them “terrorists” and calling for authorities to “treat them harshly.”
