Kevin-Prince Boateng Launches Football Agency

Former Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng has embarked on a new chapter in his football journey, unveiling his player agency, Rookie & Champ, aimed at nurturing the next generation of football talent.

Since retiring from professional football, Boateng has shifted his focus to mentoring young players, beginning in his hometown of Berlin, with aspirations to expand his reach globally.

Speaking at the TransferRoom Summit, Boateng shared insights from a pivotal moment early in his career that has shaped his mission to guide others.

“I went pro at eighteen. I was that lad—full of energy, full of dreams. And then I got sent to Tottenham. Ten days later, the coach told me he didn’t want me,” he recounted.

The experience left a lasting impression on Boateng, fueling his determination to provide the kind of guidance he lacked during his early career.

“Money, fame, the big club—they’re not always the right steps. That’s why I’m bringing my experience. I want to be there for my boys,” he emphasized.

With Rookie & Champ, Boateng’s vision extends beyond technical skill development. He is committed to equipping players with the mental and emotional resilience required to navigate the pressures of professional football.

“You have a Rookie & Champ player at eighteen—he’s ready. He can stand in front of fifty thousand people and take that penalty,” Boateng confidently declared.

Reflecting candidly, the former footballer remarked, “If I’d had this kind of support, I’d have played ten straight years at Real Madrid. No doubt.”

Boateng’s illustrious football career saw him make 521 club appearances, scoring 76 goals. He also earned 15 caps for Ghana, netting twice for the Black Stars.
