Sumaila is alleged to have attacked a young man with a machete near a fuel tanker in a video that has sparked widespread outrage online.
The incident took place on Friday, April 4, 2025, in Anyinam, located in the Eastern Region. The disturbing footage of the assault triggered public demands for swift justice.
Sumaila, who works as a fuel tanker driver’s assistant, is currently in police custody and is cooperating with authorities as investigations continue.
