It has been a year since the passing of Nollywood actor Junior Pope, and his wife, Jennifer Awele Odonwodo, has returned to social media for the first time to share a heartfelt tribute.

In an emotional post, Jennifer reflected on how deeply life has changed for her and their three sons—Jason, Jaden, and Jamon—since her husband’s untimely death. She described the ongoing pain of his absence and the lingering emptiness it has brought to their lives.

“Your love still surrounds us, your laughter echoes in our hearts, and your presence is felt in the quiet moments when we miss you the most,” she wrote.

Jennifer shared touching memories of the promises Junior Pope made to their children—plans for football training, cheers from the sidelines, and even a toy car for little Jamon, who still waits in hope.

“I still don’t know how to respond when Jason and Jaden ask if Daddy will keep his promise to take them to a football academy. And Jamon keeps asking when Daddy will bring the big toy car he promised,” she said.

Despite the pain, Jennifer expressed deep gratitude to those who supported her family during their time of grief.

“You didn’t just leave us—your family—you left a void in the hearts of many who loved you and your work. You live on in every smile, memory, and tear. We will carry you in our hearts until we meet again,” she wrote.

She ended her tribute with a message of faith and acceptance:
“We cannot question God, right? May your soul rest in perfect peace, my love.”

Junior Pope passed away in April 2024, leaving behind a legacy that continues to resonate with fans and colleagues across Nollywood.
