Government Clears Arrears for Ghana School Feeding Programme Caterers

The government, through the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection (MoGCSP), has cleared the 31-day arrears owed to caterers under the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) for the first term of the 2024/2025 academic year.

The School Feeding Programme Secretariat expressed its gratitude to the government for the timely release of funds to settle the outstanding arrears.

A statement issued on Wednesday, April 9, by the National Coordinator of the School Feeding Programme, Hajia Fati Forgor, also thanked donor partners for their ongoing support and cooperation with the government in maintaining the programme. The School Feeding Secretariat, under MoGCSP’s supervision, has started restructuring the programme to fulfill the government’s commitment to decentralizing operations, improving food quality, and ensuring consistent payments to caterers.
