NIB Surrounds MP Fordjour’s Home Over Alleged Drug Links

- National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) surrounds Assin South MP Rev. John Ntim Fordjour's residence
- Over 20 men, claiming to be National Security operatives, were reported at the scene
- Some members of the NDC have called for Fordjour’s arrest and legal action
Officials from the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) are reportedly surrounding the residence of Assin South MP and Ranking Member of the Defence and Interior Committee, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, with the intention of arresting him.
This was revealed by New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, in a Facebook post, which included the hashtag #SayNoToStateIntimidation.
Following Kodua’s post, Manhyia South MP, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, confirmed the situation, stating that over 20 individuals, claiming to be National Security operatives, had surrounded Rev. Fordjour’s home. As of now, the NIB or National Security has not released an official statement regarding the matter.
This incident comes amid a controversy over allegations involving suspicious flights potentially linked to drug trafficking and money laundering. Rev. Fordjour had previously referenced intelligence sources suggesting that the aircraft in question could be carrying illicit substances such as cocaine and large amounts of U.S. dollars.
The issue has sparked calls from some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), including Sammy Gyamfi and Felix Kwakye Ofosu, for Rev. Fordjour’s arrest, urging him to provide evidence for his claims or face legal consequences.
