Two people have tragically died in Patasi, Kumasi, after a school bus lost control and crashed into them in front of a multi-story building.
The victims have been identified as 74-year-old Maame Serwaa and a man, only known as Alfred, who is believed to be in his late 40s. Another individual has sustained severe injuries.
Eyewitnesses report that the victims were chatting near the building when the bus ran over them. The driver stated that he experienced brake failure, which led to the accident and caused significant property damage.
Police and fire officers responded quickly, rescuing the victims who were trapped under the vehicle.
The injured person is currently receiving treatment at Suntreso Government Hospital, and the driver is cooperating with the police investigation.
