Joana Yabani’s Burial Set for April 5, 2025

Joana Deladem Yabani, a student from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), who tragically lost her life after being allegedly murdered by her lover, will be laid to rest on April 5, 2025.

Her burial service will take place at Jehovah Shammah Assemblies of God Church in New Ashongman, Accra, starting at 8:30 AM, followed by a filing past.

A memorial thanksgiving service will also be held in her honor on April 13, 2025, at the same church.

Joana, who passed away on February 27, 2025, leaves behind her parents, Dr. John B.K. Yabani and Mrs. Rejoice Amakie Yabani, as well as eight siblings. Her untimely death has shocked many, especially after reports suggested that she was allegedly killed by her lover under unclear circumstances.

Her body was found near the Rehabilitation and Disability Centre on the KNUST campus after she had gone there to prepare for her mid-semester exams.

Recent investigations have pointed to her alleged partner, Daniel Tuffour, who is currently facing trial in connection with her death. The case has sparked widespread outrage, with many demanding justice.
