Ghana has made a notable rise in the latest FIFA rankings, marking their first upward movement since July 2024, when they climbed from 64th to 60th.
The Black Stars now sit in 76th place globally, up from 77th where they had remained since November 2024. This improvement follows a successful start to 2025 during the recent international break, where Ghana secured wins against Chad and Madagascar in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. These victories marked their first since their June win over the Central African Republic.
As a result, Ghana has moved ahead of Israel, who have dropped two spots in the rankings.
Although Ghana’s global ranking has seen positive changes, their position on the African continent remains unchanged, with the team holding steady in 14th place.
Coach Otto Addo will be aiming to continue the team’s upward trajectory as they return to action later this year.
