Daniel Baidoo Sentenced for Assaulting Journalists in Western Region

The Asankragwa District Court has fined Daniel Baidoo 300 penalty units, totaling GH¢3,600, for assaulting journalists at Adumanya near Asankra Breman in the Western Region. If he fails to pay the fine, he will serve one year of hard labor imprisonment.
According to a press release from the police, Baidoo was apprehended on February 21, 2025, by the Western Central Regional Police Command in connection with the attack. The authorities recovered a Panasonic Lumix camera and an iPhone, which belonged to the victims, from Baidoo.
The police included Baidoo’s photo in the release, confirming that he has been officially convicted by the court.
