Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, the Ranking Member on Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, has demanded full accountability for the missing Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) containers, valued at over $700 million.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, April 2, he raised concerns about whether the 706 containers recently moved by National Security were part of the 1,340 containers that have gone missing.

Rev. Ntim Fordjour expressed frustration over the lack of transparency in handling the issue and questioned the status of the equipment and logistics contained in the evacuated containers.
“Where are the missing ECG containers worth over $700 million? Could these 706 containers evacuated by National Security be part of the 1,340 missing ones?” he asked.
He also criticized the Ministry of Energy for not disclosing the National Security evacuation during previous briefings, calling it a serious communication oversight.
“How come we never heard about this so-called evacuation by National Security in any of the briefings provided by the Energy Minister so far?” he wrote, demanding more clarity from the government.
In conclusion, Rev. Ntim Fordjour stressed that all missing containers must be accounted for, emphasizing the need for clear and coherent answers from the authorities.
“We need clear answers. We need all the containers accounted for!” he asserted, calling for urgent action to address the growing concerns surrounding the ECG container scandal.
