Nigerian music icon Davido has shared insights into his marriage with Chioma Adeleke, revealing that they lived together for eight years before officially getting married.
In an interview on The Bootleg Kev Podcast, Davido explained that their long period of cohabitation made the transition to marriage much easier. He recalled that their relationship began in his third year of college and naturally grew from a strong friendship into a lasting bond.
Despite their lengthy connection, Davido acknowledged that marriage comes with its own set of challenges and experiences. “Marriage is no joke,” he said, noting that it brings new experiences every day.
He expressed deep appreciation for Chioma’s constant support and her understanding of the demands of his music career. While Davido was frequently on tour, Chioma remained supportive, recognizing his passion for music, just as she enjoys her time in the kitchen.
He credited their solid foundation of friendship and mutual understanding for helping them navigate the complexities of marriage while staying true to their individual passions.
