LeBron Nets Game-Winner as Lakers Ends Losing Streak

- LeBron hit the game-winning tip-in
- Luka Dončić scored 34 points, but the Pacers fell short
- The Lakers ended a three-game losing streak
LeBron James scored the game-winning basket with just seconds left as the Los Angeles Lakers snapped their losing streak, edging out the Indiana Pacers in a 120-119 victory.
With 42 seconds remaining, the Pacers held a one-point lead, but James was in the right place at the right time to tip in a missed shot from Luka Dončić just before the buzzer, sealing the win for the Lakers in Indianapolis.
Although James didn’t make a field goal until the fourth quarter, he finished with 13 points, 13 rebounds, and seven assists.
“It’s another example of how he doesn’t necessarily have it going early,” said Lakers coach J.J. Redick. “He got off to a slow start offensively but was so strong defensively, and then took over in the fourth quarter. He gets rewarded by the basketball gods because he never stopped competing.”
With the victory, the Lakers improved to 44-28, ending a three-game losing streak and sitting fourth in the Western Conference.
For the Pacers, Luka Dončić had a standout performance with 34 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. Austin Reaves scored 24 points for Los Angeles, while Rui Hachimura contributed 14.
