Kennedy Agyapong Stays Committed to Advocacy Despite Court Ruling

Former Assin Central MP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has reiterated his commitment to his advocacy despite a U.S. court ruling that ordered him to pay $18 million in damages to investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas for defamation.

Speaking at his campaign office in Shiashie, Accra, upon his return to Ghana on Thursday, March 27, Agyapong thanked his supporters for their unwavering encouragement and pledged to continue his fight for truth and justice.

“I am deeply grateful for the warm welcome given to me and my wife. Your support strengthens my determination to keep speaking for the voiceless,” he said.

Known for his outspoken nature, Agyapong remained resolute, insisting that the court’s decision would not silence him. “No one should be concerned. Anyone who speaks the truth and stands for the voiceless will face challenges. But through this experience, I have grown stronger, and I will keep fighting for the truth,” he stated, adding that he would address the ruling in more detail at the appropriate time and encouraged his followers to remain resolute.
