Three Arrested for Robbery and Murder of Mobile Money Vendors

- Three suspects arrested for robbing and killing two mobile money vendors

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has apprehended three individuals connected to the robbery and murder of two mobile money vendors in the region.
According to a statement from the police, the first incident occurred on Thursday, February 13, 2025, in Krofrom, where the victim, Patricia Nimako, was attacked and killed, with the perpetrators making off with an undisclosed amount of money.
The second incident took place on the night of Monday, March 10, 2025, when Gideon Owusu Sarpong, also known as “Junior,” was robbed and murdered at his home in Kwadaso.
After thorough investigations, the police arrested Charles Kwame Danso, 23, also known as “Kwame Charles” or “Miami,” Philip Foujour, 29, and Samuel Addae Mensah, 42, on March 21, 2025, in the areas of Pankrono and Atimatim.
The statement further noted that the suspects are currently in police custody and will be brought before the court soon.
Authorities have also launched a search for a fourth suspect, Martin Amoah, alias Augustine Amoah or “Baba Macho,” who is believed to be hiding in Kumasi, Dunkwa-on-Offin, Diaso (near Dunkwa-on-Offin in the Central Region), or Accra.
The Police Command is urging the public to assist in locating Amoah. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Police via the Toll-Free number 191,112 (18555 MIN and Telecel).
The Ashanti Regional Police Command has assured the public of its dedication to ensuring justice and has called on citizens to remain vigilant in helping to hold all responsible individuals accountable.
