OmniBSIC Bank, Ghana’s fastest-growing financial services provider, has showcased its growth ambitions with the seventh edition of its quarterly health walk. The event served as a platform to strengthen brand engagement and launch the bank’s latest digital banking innovation.
Held on March 22, 2025, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, the event attracted about 3,000 participants and marked the official debut of the bank’s new mobile app, aligning with its new tagline, “Not Just Another Bank.”
The 12.8-kilometer walk, aimed at promoting physical and financial discipline, went beyond just wellness. OmniBSIC’s Managing Director, Daniel Asiedu, linked the themes of endurance and consistency to the bank’s broader customer service and financial stability approach. “The discipline required to maintain one’s health mirrors the discipline needed for financial security. At OmniBSIC, we are committed to supporting both,” he said.
The event highlighted the bank’s ongoing expansion in Ghana’s financial sector. The venue was fully branded, reflecting OmniBSIC’s shift towards technology-driven banking while maintaining close engagement with customers. The event also included exhibition booths for local businesses, allowing entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services. A total of 100 exhibitors from various industries, such as FMCGs, food and beverages, and beauty products, participated.

For exhibitors, the event was an excellent business networking opportunity. Kofi Mensah, founder of Kofi & Ko Fashion House, appreciated the exposure, noting the connections made would help their growth. Similarly, Ama Serwaa, CEO of FreshGlow Naturals, praised the event as a valuable platform for showcasing their skincare products.
Mr. Asiedu emphasized that the initiative supports business growth, especially within the SME sector, strengthening OmniBSIC’s role in Ghana’s economic development.
Digital Banking Focus The main highlight of the event was the launch of OmniBSIC’s new mobile banking app, designed for customer convenience. Featuring biometric authentication, real-time alerts, and an intuitive interface, the app aims to simplify both personal and business banking. “This is more than just another mobile banking app—it’s a significant step forward in how we serve our customers,” said Mr. Asiedu.
The app is part of OmniBSIC’s strategy to enhance accessibility and efficiency in financial services, especially as the competitive landscape in Ghana’s financial sector evolves with fintech and mobile money platforms.
Growth and Recognition OmniBSIC’s digital expansion comes after a successful 2024, where the bank doubled its profit to GH¢314 million, thanks to growth in operating income and increased customer deposits. The bank also received industry accolades such as Bank of the Year (Ghana Business Standard Awards, 2024) and Best Corporate Bank (Global Banking and Finance Awards, 2024).
With 40 branches nationwide, OmniBSIC is positioning itself as a major player in the banking sector, combining traditional banking with a strong digital presence. “We will continue to grow, deepen customer trust, and maintain momentum in this dynamic financial landscape,” concluded Mr. Asiedu.
