The Ghana Police Service has arrested and suspended Constable Alonsi Elizabeth following allegations of assault on a female colleague.
According to the police report, Constable Alonsi poured hot water on the victim after a disagreement between the two.
In an official statement, the service confirmed that the suspect is in custody and will undergo both internal disciplinary measures and legal action.
The victim, who suffered injuries to her face and back, is currently in stable condition and receiving medical care and support, the statement added.
