Black Stars Management Committee Unpaid, Rewarded on World Cup Qualification

- Black Stars Management Committee is unpaid for now
- They’ll be rewarded if Ghana qualifies for the 2026 World Cup
- Ghana is close to qualifying with 15 points in Group I
Kofi Adams, the Minister of Sports and Recreation, has revealed that the members of the Black Stars Management Committee are currently not receiving any payment. However, he assured that they will be compensated for their hard work if Ghana qualifies for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The upcoming World Cup will be hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico, with 48 teams competing. Africa has nine automatic qualification spots, and Ghana is in a strong position to secure one from Group I, having earned 15 points from six matches.
Despite the lack of payment, key figures within the committee, including Chairman Dr. Randy Abbey and Vice Chairman Stephen Appiah, continue to work diligently for the team’s success. Adams explained in an interview with Asempa FM, “The Black Stars management committee members are not being paid for now, but should we qualify for the World Cup, the government will decide on their reward.”
Ghana is aiming to secure its fifth World Cup appearance.
