Traders impacted by the destructive fire at Adum PZ in Kumasi have held a protest against the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) and the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) regarding plans to relocate them from the Blue Light Arena market area.
The authorities had instructed traders to leave the area to make way for the construction of a new bus route and a revamped market space after the fire.
However, numerous affected traders, especially younger business owners, have opposed the proposal, demanding to rebuild the market on their own.
