Work on transforming Terminal 2 at Kotoka International Airport is progressing smoothly.

The project aims to support both domestic and international flights at Terminal 2, easing pressure on Terminal 3 and making better use of unused spaces, aligning with GACL’s goal to make Ghana the leading aviation hub in West Africa. Managing Director Mrs. Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare has planned continuous stakeholder engagements to ensure airlines are ready for operations once the terminal is repurposed.

On March 19, 2025, Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) organized a tour with airline representatives to showcase the progress. The airlines expressed satisfaction with the work done and provided positive feedback to ensure smooth operational readiness upon project completion.

The revamped Terminal 2 is expected to manage growing passenger traffic and reduce congestion at Terminal 3, enhancing the overall experience as Ghana prepares for more airlines at Kotoka International Airport in the near future. Completion of the project will be a major achievement in improving passenger services at the airport.
