Mahama appoints new Acting Service Chiefs for Ghana Armed Forces

President John Mahama has announced the appointment of new Acting Service Chiefs for the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) as part of efforts to restructure the military’s leadership.

The new appointments, which will take effect on March 24, 2025, are aimed at strengthening the country’s defense framework and ensuring continued excellence in military operations.

At a meeting held at the Flagstaff House, President Mahama thanked the outgoing Service Chiefs, led by Chief of the Defence Staff General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, for their dedicated service. A statement issued by Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, conveyed the President’s appreciation for their contributions and his continued reliance on their expertise to support the country’s development.
