Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artist Jah Lead has rekindled his dispute with music producer JMJ, accusing him of blocking his song from streaming platforms and withholding earnings.

In an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, Jah Lead claimed that a track he recorded for JMJ’s Riddim of the Gods project was wrongly removed from his Audiomack account.

“I’ve had an issue with JMJ, and it’s still ongoing. A song I wrote, just because he played the beats, was blocked on my Audiomack. The actual owner or copyright holder authorized its removal,” he explained.

He also accused JMJ of uploading the track “Lonely” on his own platforms, promoting it, and later reporting Jah Lead’s version to YouTube, which resulted in its removal.

“After investigating, I found out he had pitched the song, along with others from the album, to Boomplay and took the money,” he added.

When asked if the conflict could be resolved, Jah Lead expressed frustration, saying JMJ has ignored his attempts to communicate. “He’s become more egotistical and won’t respond to me,” he said.

Jah Lead then issued a warning to JMJ, stating that he plans to confront him in person.

“He shouldn’t think he’s older than me because we’re the same age. I’ll speak to him as such. When the time comes, I’ll meet him on the street and beat him badly. I want people to know because I’ll face him like a man,” he threatened.

In the meantime, Jah Lead has released a new song titled Hand of Jah, which he says allows him to express himself without restraint.

His song Lonely was featured on JMJ’s Riddim of the Gods project, which came out in 2020.
