Ghana Meteorology alerts of rain and thunderstorms tonight

The Ghana Meteorological Agency has issued a weather alert, forecasting thunderstorms and rain to affect parts of the country tonight.
The update highlights that early morning mist and fog patches were observed over forested and mountainous regions. As the day progresses, most of the country will experience sunny weather.
However, thunderstorms, with or without rain, are expected to develop in the evening, particularly in the northern regions.
Areas likely to experience thunderstorms include Ho, Obuasi, Sefwi Bekwai, Kete Krachi, Kintampo, Goaso, Sunyani, Techiman, Yendi, Tamale, Bole, Damongo, Bolgatanga, Nalerigu, and Wa.
Light rains are anticipated in the southwestern areas, resulting in cloudy conditions across much of southern Ghana.
Meanwhile, the southern belt, including Aflao, Accra, Kasoa, Cape Coast, Takoradi, Axim, and Koforidua, will experience partial cloud cover with little to no rain.
Residents in the affected areas are urged to take necessary precautions, especially those in northern Ghana, where thunderstorms are expected.
