Professor Yaw Ahenkora, the Acting Abusuapanin of the Asantewaa Kese Royal Family of Kwawu Twenedurase, has urged the kingmakers to ensure peace and unity in the community by choosing the right person as chief of Twenedurase. He highlighted that selecting the right leader would promote peace and aid in the community’s growth.
Professor Ahenkora asked the kingmakers to refer to historical records, royal family documents, and the Kwahu State Book to help make an informed decision.
This appeal follows a recent disturbance during the Twenedurase chief’s funeral, where troublemakers interrupted the event and damaged canopies, chairs, and decorations.
Professor Ahenkora condemned the violence and called for calm, emphasizing the need for unity and following proper procedures in resolving chieftaincy issues.
