The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that the district-level elections for Nkoranza North and South will take place on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, after the terms of the current Assembly and Unit Committee Members end under the District Level Elections Regulations, 2015 (C.I. 89).
The EC will also hold by-elections in areas where vacancies have been created due to the death or resignation of Assembly Members. These by-elections will happen on the same day.
People who want to run can get Nomination Forms for free from the EC’s District Offices or download them from the Commission’s website (www.ec.gov.gh).
Completed forms must be submitted between April 1 and April 4, 2025, either in person or through a proposer or seconder. Submission times are from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Candidates must also submit two passport-sized photos with a red background.
The EC has asked all candidates to follow the rules and deadlines carefully.
