Black Stars head coach Otto Addo believes that securing the support of the Ga Chiefs is crucial for his team’s quest to achieve the ‘urgent’ victories required for World Cup qualification.
Ghana currently shares the top spot in their 2026 World Cup qualification group with Comoros, both teams having earned nine points from four games.
With the qualifiers set to resume next week against Chad and Madagascar, the Black Stars coach visited King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse, to seek his blessings for the upcoming matches.
“Ghana urgently needs victories to qualify for the [2026] World Cup,” Addo stated.
“We need the support of all Ghanaians, especially the Ga Chiefs, to help us accomplish this goal and bring joy to the entire nation.”
The match against Chad is scheduled for Friday, March 21, at the Accra Sports Stadium, followed by the game against Madagascar in Morocco three days later.
