Stonebwoy Celebrates Ghanaian Culture and Independence on BET UK

Afro-Dancehall star Stonebwoy is once again making headlines, this time on BET UK, where he highlighted Ghanaian culture and shared his thoughts on the country’s journey to independence.

Stonebwoy revealed that Ghana’s Independence Day holds a special place in his heart, as he was born just one day before the historic date. “March 6 means a lot to me because I was born on March 5. It’s no coincidence—I’ve always felt a deep connection to my motherland,” he said.

While celebrating the occasion, Stonebwoy also reflected on the challenges that have hindered Ghana’s progress. He pointed out that corruption and political instability have prevented the country from realizing its full potential, but he remains hopeful for the future. “Independence reminds me of how far we could have gone if not for these issues, but I’m optimistic. Africa has great potential, and with the right leadership, we can thrive,” he shared.

In addition to his reflections on Ghana, Stonebwoy expressed his love for traditional Ghanaian food. When asked about his favorite dish, he mentioned pounded fufu with groundnut soup and rice balls with groundnut soup as his top choices.

Stonebwoy’s love for his country and continent is also evident in his music. He recently released a song called “Run Go,” which calls for peace and unity, emphasizing that in times of instability, there’s nowhere to escape to.
