Ghana Water Limited (GWL) has announced a temporary disruption in water supply for customers in the Amasaman District due to essential maintenance work at its Nsawam Treatment Plant.

The maintenance will occur between March 1 and March 7, 2025, leading to a reduction in water production, which will affect the water supply to several communities in the area.

In a statement issued by the Communications Manager for the Accra West Region, Solace A. M. Akomeah, the affected areas include Amasaman Township, Abehenease, Toman, Sapeiman, Pobiman, Obeyeyie, Daaresalam, Fise, Amanfrom, parts of Pokuase, and surrounding communities.

Residents in these areas have been advised to store sufficient water in advance for the duration of the maintenance period. GWL reassured customers that the maintenance work is part of efforts to enhance the overall reliability of the water supply.

“We regret the inconvenience associated with this arrangement,” the statement concluded.
