Fiorentina striker Moise Kean has been discharged from the hospital after undergoing tests following a collapse on the pitch during his team’s 1-0 loss to Hellas Verona on Sunday.
Kean, who was playing for Italy, suffered a head injury after a collision with Verona defender Pawel Dawidowicz. The striker continued to play for six minutes after the incident but lost his balance and collapsed in the 64th minute, prompting medical staff to attend to him on the field.
After receiving initial treatment, Kean was taken to a Verona hospital. Fiorentina later confirmed that he was released from the hospital “during the night” after receiving the results of diagnostic tests.
The club’s next match is scheduled for February 28 against Lecce, although it has yet to be confirmed whether Kean will be available to play.
Kean is currently Fiorentina’s top scorer this season, with 15 goals in the league.
