ECG to Engage Adidome Residents Over Estimated Billing Concerns

- Adidome residents protest ECG billing
- Claim inflated charges since dam spillage
- ECG to meet residents over concerns
The Volta Regional office of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) is preparing to meet with residents of Adidome in the Central Tongu District following a petition submitted by Assembly Member Guggisberg Fiagbenu.
The petition highlights concerns from residents about estimated billing, which they claim has led to inflated charges since the 2023 Akosombo Dam spillage. In response to these complaints, the residents have given ECG a 14-day ultimatum to address the issue.
ECG’s Public Relations Officer, Eunice Tweneboah-Kodua, confirmed that the company plans to visit the community. The aim is to educate residents on proper power usage, the billing process, and how to access ECG’s virtual services.
Assembly Member Fiagbenu has encouraged residents to attend the upcoming meeting, where they will have the opportunity to present evidence of any billing discrepancies and seek resolutions to their concerns.
