The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the immediate revocation of appointments and recruitments for teaching and non-teaching staff who have not been placed on the government payroll.

The directive, which takes effect immediately, follows instructions from the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah.

In a statement issued by the Acting Director-General of GES, Professor Ernest Kofi Davis, all Regional, District, Municipal, and Metropolitan Directors of Education have been ordered to ensure strict compliance with the new decision.

The statement further emphasized that individuals affected by the revocation will not be placed on the government payroll, effectively nullifying their appointments.
