Ghanaian musician Article Wan has openly expressed his frustration with the music industry, citing a lack of support, sabotage, and the influence of gatekeepers manipulating the system. In a candid interview with DJ Slim on Daybreak Hitz, the artist revealed that he feels overlooked despite his talent and contributions to the industry.

“Ghana is sitting on Article Wan, and it’s so bad, it’s so terrible. I have something here, but I cannot put it out myself alone. I need everybody’s support. Some heads have ignored me, and it’s not good, but I’m hitting on them,” he lamented.

Article Wan also shared his concerns about the influence of industry gatekeepers, claiming they play a key role in determining which artistes succeed. He alleged that this makes it difficult for others to break through.

“I won’t believe that there is a conscious agenda to sabotage me, but from what I’m seeing, it’s scary,” he stated.

Reflecting on his experiences, Article Wan pointed out that favoritism in the industry is another major challenge. He suggested that artists who are not aligned with certain industry groups often struggle to receive opportunities.

“Let’s be realistic, people have got their own favourites. If you are not part of team A, when they are doing something, maybe selecting you will be their second option; you will never be their first option,” he added.
