The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has issued a public wanted notice for Ghana’s former Finance Minister, Kenneth Ofori-Atta, following his declaration as a fugitive. This comes as part of an investigation into alleged corruption and corruption-related offences concerning the award of five major contracts.

In a notice released on Monday, February 17, 2025, the OSP stated that the 66-year-old former minister is believed to be residing in either the United States or the United Kingdom. Authorities have called on him to assist in investigations related to five specific cases.

These cases include the Strategic Mobilization Ghana Limited & GRA Contract, the termination of the ECG and Beijing Technology Limited Contract, the National Cathedral Project, the procurement of ambulances, and the GRA’s Tax Refund Account Payments.

The OSP has urged the public to provide any relevant information regarding Ofori-Atta’s whereabouts.
