A shocking incident of daylight robbery has resulted in the tragic death of a 27-year-old Mobile Money (MoMo) vendor, Patricia Nimako, in Krofrom, Kumasi.

The incident occurred on Thursday, February 13, 2025, in the afternoon. According to reports, two unmasked gun-wielding men on a motorbike approached Patricia’s shop around 3 p.m., shortly after she returned from the bank. The robbers pretended to be customers withdrawing money, but their true intentions were sinister.

Eyewitnesses claim that the robbers shot Patricia twice before fleeing the scene with GH₵10,000 and her mobile phones.

Kwabena Owusu, an in-law of the deceased and a unit committee member, recounted the horrific scene to Nhyira FM’s Kwadwo Obeng Mireku. “We heard the gunshots and rushed to her shop, only to find her lying in a pool of blood,” he said.

Patricia was rushed to the Manhyia Government Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. The police have launched an investigation into the incident, and Mr. Owusu expressed hope that the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
