DJ Chos Calls Fameye’s Actions ‘Immature’ Following Performance Incident

UK-based Ghanaian disc jockey, DJ Chos, has expressed his disappointment in musician Fameye following a viral incident at a recent performance, criticizing the artist for a lack of emotional intelligence during a public outburst that disrupted the event.

In an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, DJ Chos recounted the series of events that led to the conflict. He explained that preparations for the performance were far from ideal, beginning with a brief rehearsal conducted in a car instead of a studio, as Fameye had initially requested.

“A studio was booked for Fameye and me to rehearse, but as we were about to enter, Fameye said he was tired and couldn’t go. He suggested we rehearse in the car instead,” DJ Chos revealed. “We ran through seven tracks in about seven to eleven minutes because he said he needed to rest.”

The situation further escalated during the performance, according to DJ Chos, when Fameye deviated from the agreed-upon playlist. The DJ explained that conflicting instructions from Fameye’s team added to the confusion, ultimately affecting the flow of the show.

“Amerado’s Kweku Ananse was the fourth track on the playlist. Fameye’s errand boy was telling me what to play, and it made everything a mess,” DJ Chos recalled. “Fameye was already frustrated when he got on stage, likely because of the low turnout, and he took it out on me. It was transferred aggression.”

DJ Chos criticized Fameye’s actions, describing them as immature and unprofessional. “His behaviour was so immature. I respect his brand, but he is quick-tempered. Emotional intelligence is key, especially in situations like this,” he added.
