Four Arrested for Stealing Agenda 111 Hospital Materials

The police have arrested four individuals in connection with the theft of construction materials intended for the Awutu Bereku Agenda 111 hospital project in the Central Region.

The suspects were apprehended on Wednesday, December 10, 2024, after they were caught transporting the stolen materials in a truck, bearing the registration number GT 8715-Z. The arrest was made possible through the assistance of local community members.

According to a statement issued by the Ghana Police Service, investigations revealed that the suspects had been allegedly contracted by the project contractor to transport materials from the Agenda 111 site to Tema.

The four suspects are currently in police custody, where they are assisting with investigations and are being processed for court. In addition, authorities have initiated a manhunt for the contractor involved in the alleged theft.

This brings the total number of arrests related to post-election violence and crimes to 110.
