Actress and entrepreneur, Michelle Diamond, widely known as Michy, has been officially enstooled as the Queen Mother of Aburi in the Eastern Region. The grand ceremony, held in December, celebrated both Aburi’s rich cultural heritage and Michy’s transformative journey.
Michy, who now holds the title of Osompahemea, expressed that her new role was a dream come true, particularly due to her deep connection with the Aburi community. Reflecting on her journey, Michy shared that as a child, she had always envisioned owning her dream home in Aburi. This desire eventually led her to acquire land in the area, where she is actively involved in commercial farming.
Ahead of her enstoolment, Michy underwent a spiritual cleansing and fortification, which she described as a vital step in preparing herself to take on the responsibilities of her new position as Osompahemea.
