The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced a five-day fasting and prayer session for all its members across the country in preparation for the upcoming December 7 general elections.
Sammy Gyamfi, the NDC Communications Officer, made the revelation on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme on Wednesday, where he explained that the initiative was part of the party’s spiritual preparations to complement their ongoing campaign efforts.
With only three days left until the elections, Gyamfi emphasized that the fasting and prayer would serve as a spiritual warfare to support the party’s physical campaigning activities. “We have done a lot of work on the ground and all that needs to be done humanly. Spiritually, we have prayed and are currently on a five-day fasting, praying around the clock,” he said.
Gyamfi expressed confidence that Ghanaians would overwhelmingly vote for the NDC, ensuring their victory on December 7. “I will encourage NDC supporters to be excited about this election because we have worked and the message has gone down well. The summary of our message is for Ghanaians to vote based on their living conditions,” he added.
In addition, the NDC is set to hold its final campaign rally on Thursday, December 5, at noon. The rally will take place at Zurak Park in Madina, Accra, under the theme “Resetting Ghana – Let’s Finish Strong!”
