Mohammed Kudus Set for West Ham Return After Five-Game Suspension

Mohammed Kudus, the forward for West Ham United, is set to make his return to action after serving a five-match suspension. The Ghana international was handed the ban following an incident on October 19, when he received a red card for slapping and pushing two opposing players during West Ham’s 4-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

Initially, Kudus was given a three-match suspension, but the penalty was later extended to five matches, along with a £60,000 fine imposed by the English Football Association (FA).

During Kudus’ absence, West Ham struggled to find form, securing just one win in five matches – a narrow victory over Newcastle United. The team also suffered defeats to Manchester United, Everton, Arsenal, and Nottingham Forest during that period.

Kudus is now set to return ahead of a crucial clash with Leicester City, offering a timely boost for manager Julen Lopetegui, who is under increasing pressure to improve results during a busy December schedule.

Before his suspension, Kudus had scored two goals in eight appearances for the club this season, and his return is expected to provide West Ham with a significant lift in their attacking options.
