- Family Demands Justice
A devastating tragedy has struck the community, leaving a family reeling in shock and grief. Three teenage girls are currently in police custody in connection with the fatal stabbing of 16-year-old Dennis Owusu Ansah, a recent Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) graduate.
The incident occurred on Monday night at approximately 7:30 p.m. when Dennis became embroiled in a confrontation with one of the girls while escorting a friend home. Eyewitnesses report that during the altercation, one of the girls produced a knife and stabbed Dennis in the rib, resulting in severe bleeding.
Despite rapid medical attention, Dennis was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. His family is now grappling with the sudden and tragic loss of their loved one.
“We went to Tweneboa Kodua (SHS) on Saturday, and we were told to report on Thursday. So, I beg, the child has indeed passed, so please authorities should ensure that justice is served,” Dennis’s mother, Stella Frimpong, emotionally appealed.
Dennis’s brother, Evans Owusu Ansah, echoed the call for justice, emphasizing the gravity of the situation. “What we the family require is that the government assist and ensure that justice is served because you can’t kill a boy just like that. For a child of 15 years, you can’t just stab someone’s child. The government must ensure the right thing is done. I am surprised a child of her age could do such a thing,” he stated.
As the investigation unfolds, the family seeks accountability and a swift resolution to this heartbreaking incident. The police are currently holding the three teenage girls in connection with the fatal stabbing.
