Ministry of Education Releases 447,698 Students  Placement Results

The Ministry of Education has officially announced the placement results for students entering Senior High Schools and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions for the 2024/25 academic year.

This announcement enables thousands of students to check their school placements and secure their admissions. According to a statement from the Ministry, out of the 563,339 results received from the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), a total of 553,155 candidates qualified for placement.

Of those qualified, 447,698 candidates—representing 80.93% of the total—were automatically assigned to one of their chosen schools. However, around 104,918 qualified students did not receive placements in any of their preferred options.

To support these students, the Ministry has encouraged them to utilize the Self-Placement platform, which allows them to select from schools with remaining slots.

For those checking their placement status, the Ministry has provided a detailed procedure. Qualified students can visit the official CSSPS website at https://www.cssps.gov.gh or https://www.cssps.org, where they should enter their ten-digit index number along with the year of completion (formatted as 123456789024 for 2024) to access their results.

Furthermore, the Ministry has established various resources to assist the public. This includes the National Solution Centre located at GNAT Hall, Adabraka, Accra, as well as 16 Regional Solution Centres across the country.

Students and parents seeking additional help with placement-related inquiries can also contact the helpline at 0308258001.
